Tettenhall College headed to Jersey this spring for an Easter Choir Tour, bringing with them a group of gifted singers, some of whom also play instruments. On Thursday morning they were joined for a joint rehearsal by some of the Academy’s junior and intermediate instrumentalists, who had learnt their parts in lesson time and one brief Saturday morning rehearsal at JAM. Together, they pulled off a wonderful rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables and “This is Me” from The Greatest Showman in time for a fantastic outdoors performance at Mont Orgueil on Friday 15th April. The choir also performed several other pieces, including the first section of “Adiemus” by Karl Jenkins and Leonard Cohen’s “Alleluia”.
While in Jersey, the choir from Tettenhall College also enjoyed other activities including a great RIB trip around St. Brelade’s Bay. They even took advantage of the glorious weather to hold another outdoors performance on the Saturday, this time in St. Helier.
